Water has always spoken to me in a language deeper than words. It moves the way I feel — endlessly, restlessly, beautifully. And when I look at the ocean, I don't just see water; I see a mirror held up to the universe itself. Vast. Alive. Eternal.

This piece was born from that feeling — standing at the edge of the shore and sensing, all at once, how small and how infinite we are. The waves crash and dissolve, just as stars are born and fade. In the resin, I layered real sand gathered from the beach alongside swirling blues and whites, building the texture of the sea until it felt like something you could step into. The deep navy depths give way to foamy crests, and beneath it all, the wood panel grounds the piece like the ocean floor — steady beneath all that motion.

It is a painting about belonging to something bigger than ourselves. About the way water connects every shore, and how the same ocean that laps at one coast also touches the edge of the cosmos.
