Less than two months ago, I was in my homeland, Iran, celebrating Nowruz with my family and friends. In the blink of an eye, everything changed—my country is now caught in a war, invaded by Israel. None of us know how long this will go on, or if it will become another drawn-out tragedy like the war in Ukraine. As immigrants with loved ones back home, we’re overwhelmed with stress, fear, and helplessness.
I just hope there’s no more harm to innocent people—on either side. No more pain for the families in Iran, no more pain for the families in Israel. And no more damage to the beauty, spirit, and history of Iran.
